Member Alert: ABC Regulation Action Items

It’s been just over a week since the 2019 Special Ruling was attached to the licenses of NJ’s craft breweries. 

At this point, though they are attached to the licenses, they have not been codified as law. The NJBA is working to prevent these regulations from becoming law. Unfortunately, the NJ legislature is adjourned until September after adopting the state’s budget at the end of June. 

So now we prepare for battle. We have been working with our lobbyist to draft a bill and raise bipartisan support to ensure we can get the proposed legislation up for vote as soon as possible when the legislator returns. We are also meeting with key legislators and other organizations that may be impacted by the regulations in the future.
